Aozora Shoujotai

When Takuya Isurugi receives his new assignment as ground crew and maintenance personnel for a severely neglected air squadron, he expects routine duty. Instead, he discovers that the unit was originally intended to be an all-female aerial acrobatic team—a vision that military leadership has never taken seriously. Refusing to let the squadron fade into obscurity, Isurugi joins forces with the dedicated Haneda Miyuki to rebuild the unit from the ground up. Together, they must confront deep-seated prejudice and fierce opposition from those who firmly believe women have no place in the cockpits of fighter jets. As their efforts gain momentum, the revitalized team begins attracting a colorful roster of new pilots. Among them are Arisa Mitaka, a striking and fiercely temperamental half-Japanese aviator; Sakura Saginomiya, a pilot with a penchant for gambling; and Youko Shimorenjaku, an energetic but immature enthusiast who keeps a pet vampire bat. With this unconventional lineup taking shape, Isurugi and his squad face their ultimate test: proving to a skeptical military establishment that their all-female aerobatic team possesses the skill, discipline, and undeniable value to soar above the doubts of their detractors.
