Oh Boy, Was I Wrong About Her

Seven years ago, a sudden move separated me from my closest childhood friend. Before we parted ways, we made an unbreakable vow to remain friends forever, no matter how much distance stood between us. When I finally tracked him down at my new high school, I was prepared for a joyful reunion. Instead, I found myself staring at the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my life. The shocking revelation left me completely speechless—my best friend had been a girl this entire time. To the rest of the student body, she is an untouchable idol, a pristine flower who embodies absolute perfection. Yet the moment we are alone together, that flawless facade vanishes entirely. Behind closed doors, she reverts to the exact same chaotic gremlin I grew up with, proving that while appearances may change, some core traits truly never do. Navigating this bizarre new reality leaves me constantly off balance. I am forced to reconcile the elegant young woman everyone admires with the mischievous companion I have always known. Our bond remains as strong as ever, but living alongside her dual nature introduces complications I never could have anticipated. And yet, beneath all the confusion and disbelief, something unexpected is beginning to shift between us.
