Idol A

Satomi Azusa leads a double life as a celebrated teenage gravure idol and an exceptionally gifted baseball player. Despite her athletic prowess, strict gender rules prevent her from joining her school’s official team. Determined to see his daughter compete, Azusa’s father—who also serves as the team’s coach—devises an unconventional plan centered around Hirayama Keita, Azusa’s unremarkable childhood friend. Keita possesses one crucial advantage: he bears a striking resemblance to Azusa. With nothing more than a wig and feminine clothing, the two become entirely indistinguishable, even to their own parents. To fulfill Azusa’s ambitions, Keita agrees to swap identities with her whenever she steps onto the diamond. As Azusa plays under his name, “Hirayama Keita” quickly rises to stardom, drawing attention from scouts and paving a path toward a professional baseball career. However, this elaborate deception places both teenagers in an increasingly precarious position. As the stakes grow higher and public scrutiny intensifies, maintaining their shared secret becomes a daunting challenge. The inevitable question looms over their fragile arrangement: how long can they sustain the illusion before the truth unravels everything they have built?
