Aqua Puella: Shikinomori Koukou Suieibu

Konta was once a rising star in the world of competitive swimming, but a tragic incident during a beach trip derailed his future. When he attempted to rescue a drowning girl, he managed to save her life, yet she slipped into a coma from which she never woke. Consumed by guilt over what he perceived as his own failure, Konta abandoned the sport entirely. Five years later, he has withdrawn completely from society, living as a shut-in and a mere shadow of the promising athlete he used to be. Unable to watch her brother continue to deteriorate, Konta’s older sister intervenes with an unconventional proposal: she urges him to take a position as a swimming coach at Shikinomori High School, an institution renowned for its fiercely competitive swim team. Though he lacks any real motivation or desire to return to the pool, Konta reluctantly accepts the job. However, upon arriving at the school, he is confronted with an unexpected revelation that shatters his isolated existence—standing before him is the very girl he tried to save five years ago.
