Himemiko no Oni

Set against the turbulent backdrop of Japan’s Sengoku period, "Himemiko no Oni" follows a royal shrine maiden whose sacred duty is to hunt and exterminate demons. As a princess bound by spiritual obligation, she has dedicated her life to eradicating these malevolent creatures that prey upon humanity. Her unwavering convictions are shattered, however, when she unexpectedly finds herself falling in love with a demon she was meant to destroy but chose to save instead. This forbidden bond forces her to confront a profound moral dilemma that challenges everything she has been taught. While it is entirely natural and justifiable to persecute the demons that feast on human flesh, her encounter raises a far more complicated question: what should be done about the demons that do not? Caught between her divine responsibilities as an exorcist and her genuine feelings for a creature deemed monstrous by society, the shrine maiden princess must navigate a treacherous path where the lines between good and evil blur. Ultimately, her story becomes a poignant exploration of compassion, prejudice, and the courage required to defy absolute dogma in a war-torn era.
