Drugs are the world’s sweetest and most perilous honey, luring victims into ruin while fueling a relentless surge in criminal activity. Tasked with combating this daily escalation is "Matri," the Narcotics Control Bureau operating under the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Soka has recently joined Matri as a new investigator, stepping directly into the grueling front lines of Japan's war on narcotics. However, the unyielding pressure of round-the-clock operations quickly begins to take its toll, leaving him physically and mentally exhausted by the sheer demands of his role. The challenges Soka faces extend far beyond the endless workload. His assigned partner and senior agent, Takatori, proves to be an eccentric and deeply unconventional figure within the bureau. Rather than sharing Soka's drive for justice or public safety, Takatori appears motivated by a singular, peculiar obsession: the total monetary value of the assets they seize during their raids. Forced to navigate both the dangerous underworld of drug trafficking and the baffling priorities of his own colleague, Soka must find his footing in a high-stakes environment where the line between duty and greed grows increasingly blurred.
