Summary

Official Details
Kazuhito Hasukawa suffers from amnesia, retaining only the last five years of his life. He currently lives alongside his girlfriend, Hikaru Aihara, whose career is plagued by constant trouble. His fragile sense of normalcy shatters when he receives a mysterious letter and meets a young woman who claims to have been his girlfriend before his memory loss. While Kazuhito struggles to process this startling revelation, a government employee named Makoto, working for the Culture Department, intervenes and transports him into the future. Makoto reveals that Kazuhito's true identity is Kai, a legendary figure within Nightmare—a clandestine organization operating covertly beneath the Culture Department. Thrust into an unfamiliar era where Tokyo has been severed from the rest of Japan, Kazuhito must navigate a bewildering new reality. Surrounded by suspicious factions composed entirely of young members, he is forced to adapt to a life he cannot remember. As he grapples with this fractured world and the dangerous secrets it holds, one pressing question remains: who exactly was Kai?
