Kitty

This manga is a curated anthology of five distinct stories, anchored by the titular tale "Kitty" and complemented by "Soprano," "Textbook wo Toshitara," and two deeply emotional narratives centered on childhood bonds. In "Kiss to the Shooting Star," Yawara and Chitose have spent their lives as inseparable yet constantly bickering childhood friends. What Yawara fails to realize is that Chitose harbors a quiet, unspoken love for him—a secret she lacks the courage to reveal. She has always comforted herself with the certainty that they share an apartment complex and will attend the same high school, believing time is entirely on her side. That comforting illusion shatters when Yawara casually announces his decision to enroll at Kura High, a school located two hours away by train. Panic sets in as Chitose confronts the terrifying possibility of him finding someone else far from her reach, forcing her to decide whether to finally confess or risk losing him forever. Meanwhile, "Boy Don Quixote" follows Hiro, who reunites with her childhood friend Ri-chan after five years apart. Bound by a promise to meet again and see his dream fulfilled, Hiro eagerly expects to pick up where they left off now that they attend the same school. Instead, she is met with an unexpected and heartbreaking coldness from the boy she remembers so fondly.
