Official Details
As the son of a cult leader, Urabe spent his life burdened by religion. When his father sacrifices him to the all-powerful deity Mitama, his final prayer is simply to be free from faith forever. He awakens in a serene world entirely devoid of religion and eagerly begins building a peaceful new life. However, this tranquil existence shatters when a dark truth comes to light: the ruling empire is systematically purging its own citizens. To save the innocent people of this godless realm, Urabe faces an agonizing dilemma. He must embrace the very thing he despised and summon Mitama, the god he once prayed to escape, to stand against the empire's tyranny. Working for God in a Godless World offers a strikingly original take on the isekai genre. This release marks the first volume of an ongoing manga series, which has also inspired a hit anime adaptation currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
