Chainsaw Man: Buddy Stories

In *Chainsaw Man: Buddy Stories*, Power fully embraces her obsession with anime by casting herself as a brilliant detective, eager to convince her captive audience of her unparalleled genius. Dragged along as her reluctant assistant, Denji joins her in investigating a string of mysterious disappearances plaguing a remote mountain hotel. What begins as one of Power’s theatrical fantasies quickly thrusts the duo into a genuine mystery, testing their chaotic partnership against an unsettling backdrop where guests are vanishing without a trace. Beyond this central investigation, the collection delves into the complex dynamics between other fan-favorite characters through a series of compelling side narratives. One story explores the evolving relationship between Quanxi and Kishibe, picking up nine years after their initial encounter to examine how time has reshaped their bond. Another chronicles Himeno and Aki’s very first mission together, shedding light on the early days of their partnership before the weight of their duties took its toll. Finally, the volume offers a rare moment of levity as Denji, Power, and Aki embark on their long-awaited dream vacation to Enoshima, providing a brief but welcome respite from their violent everyday lives.
