Jacaranda

In a single night, the sprawling metropolis of Tokyo is brought to its knees. The devastation is not wrought by a catastrophic earthquake or a towering tsunami, but by something far more inexplicable: a colossal jacaranda tree. As this gargantuan organism tears through the city's infrastructure, buildings crumble and uncontrollable fires spread across the landscape. Citizens perish one after another, crushed beneath mountains of rubble or swallowed by the expanding sea of flames. Amidst the relentless screams and wailing, a haunting question emerges—what unfathomable price was paid to unleash such an apocalyptic nightmare? With the city teetering on the absolute brink of annihilation, the few remaining survivors are thrust into an agonizing struggle for meaning in a world stripped of everything familiar. They must confront impossible dilemmas, forced to determine where to direct their fractured focus and what desperate actions might offer even a sliver of hope. Yet, before any plan can be forged, a deeper existential crisis takes hold. When every possession, structure, and certainty has been irrevocably lost, what path should humanity choose? In the shadow of the giant jacaranda, the survivors must search for an answer that may dictate whether they endure or fade into the ashes.
