The year is 2034, an era defined by extraordinary advancements in artificial intelligence. Society has fully embraced the widespread integration of humanoid AI units known as “Totomo,” seamlessly weaving them into everyday life. Amid this technologically transformed world lives Tamotsu, a seemingly ordinary office worker whose life is irrevocably shattered by a devastating accident. The tragedy claims the life of his beloved daughter and leaves him so severely injured that half of his body must be replaced with mechanical prosthetics just to survive. Despite enduring unimaginable grief and a drastic physical transformation, Tamotsu remains determined to move forward. He strives to live earnestly alongside his wife, seeking some semblance of normalcy and peace in the aftermath of their shared loss. However, the fragile stability he fights so hard to maintain begins to crumble when his cybernetic body starts to malfunction. As these unpredictable mechanical failures escalate, Tamotsu faces a harrowing new struggle, threatening not only his own survival but also the quiet life he and his wife are desperately trying to rebuild together.
