Sono Ki ni Sasete

For seventy-two days, Sawada Kouhei has been trapped in a relentless cycle of creative stagnation. As a writer suffering from severe block, his inspiration has completely dried up, leaving him desperate for any spark that might reignite his imagination. It is during this prolonged slump that he stumbles upon an enigmatic restaurant tucked away in the city, a place that seems to exist outside the ordinary flow of daily life. Upon stepping inside, Kouhei is immediately taken aback by the striking figure standing behind the bar—a remarkably handsome man named Fukami. However, the surprises do not end with the proprietor's unexpected appearance. Kouhei is left utterly bewildered when he discovers the establishment's highly unusual specialty: the restaurant exclusively serves parfaits. The revelation leaves him reeling, struggling to reconcile the elegant, imposing presence of Fukami with the delicate, traditionally feminine desserts he crafts. Kouhei cannot help but question what could possibly drive such a captivating man to dedicate himself entirely to creating nothing but parfaits. This bizarre encounter sets the stage for an intriguing dynamic between the frustrated writer and the mysterious bartender, as Kouhei finds himself drawn into a world far sweeter and more perplexing than he ever anticipated.
