Asadora!

In the year 2020, Tokyo is engulfed in flames as a massive, unidentified creature tears through the metropolis, leaving widespread devastation in its wake. However, the origins of this catastrophe trace back decades earlier to 1959, where the story introduces Asa, a spirited young girl struggling to find her place in an overwhelmingly large family. As one of eleven siblings, she is perpetually overlooked, to the point where most people cannot even recall her name. This chronic invisibility sets the stage for a harrowing ordeal when she is abducted for ransom by a man who mistakenly believes she is the child of a wealthy doctor. Tragically, her disappearance goes entirely unnoticed by her family and community, a neglect compounded by the sudden arrival of a devastating typhoon. With the storm raging around them, Asa and her captor are forced into an unlikely alliance, working together to survive the brutal natural disaster. Yet, as they fight against the elements, it becomes increasingly apparent that both the kidnapper and the catastrophic storm harbor secrets far more complex than they initially appear, connecting the quiet struggles of 1959 to the apocalyptic nightmare unfolding in the future.
