Gokusai no Ie

Hidden deep within a remote mountain range lies an isolated temple that serves as a communal home for a unique group of children. Gathered from various places since early childhood, these young residents share one striking trait: each possesses a distinctively beautiful hair color. Raised together in this secluded sanctuary, they have developed their own customs and way of life, entirely separate from the outside world. The fragile harmony of the temple is disrupted by the sudden arrival of a newcomer who has spent his entire life beyond its walls. Unlike the other children, whose vibrant hair colors define their community, this boy bears the rarest shade of all—jet-black. His presence immediately marks him as an anomaly among peers who have never known anything but the temple's sheltered existence. Thrust into an unfamiliar culture with rules he does not understand, the boy must navigate a society where he stands out in every conceivable way. Unaccustomed to the traditions and daily rhythms of the temple-dwellers, he faces the daunting challenge of finding his place in a closed environment that views him as an outsider. How he will adapt and survive in this strange new world remains to be seen.
