Summary

Official Details
Set against the turbulent backdrop of Japan's Sengoku period, the story follows a wandering ronin known only as Nanashi, which translates to "nameless." His solitary journey takes a decisive turn when he rescues a young boy named Kotarou at an abandoned temple. Orphaned and entirely alone, Kotarou is relentlessly hunted by a mysterious militia dispatched from China. Desperate for protection, the boy hires the nameless swordsman to serve as his personal bodyguard, binding their fates together in a perilous struggle for survival. Among the relentless forces pursuing Kotarou is a striking warrior named Rarou, easily recognized by his blond hair and piercing blue eyes. Operating under the command of an elder figure known as Byakuran, Rarou stands apart from his fellow soldiers within the Chinese militia. While his comrades are driven by loyalty to their Emperor, Rarou serves no sovereign. His singular obsession is the thrill of battle itself, seeking out only the most formidable opponents to test his unmatched martial prowess. As the hunted pair flees across a war-torn landscape, they must confront not just an organized foreign army, but a deadly fighter motivated purely by the desire to clash with the strong.
