Tensei

This manga is a collection of one-shot stories by Kazune Kawahara, exploring various facets of youth and romance. The titular story, "Tensei," follows second-year high school student Shinohara Chiaki during the anxious first days of April when new class lists are posted. Fearing she will not know anyone, her worries are quickly eased by Gotou, the school's judo star, who warmly introduces her to their classmates. To Chiaki, Gotou feels as bright and reassuring as a clear blue sky, but an unexpected event during one of his judo matches threatens to change everything. The collection also features "ONE AND ONLY," in which Matsumoto Rika rushes to her part-time waitressing job and accidentally yanks a door directly into a young man's face. Mortified by his pained glare, she flees with a hasty apology, desperately hoping never to cross paths with him again—only to discover him waiting for her at work. Finally, "Aishitekurenai" centers on Fukazawa Akira, who has been dating Yasuda Tatsurou for several weeks after confessing to him. Despite being a couple, nothing romantic has developed between them, and Akira grows increasingly insecure watching Yasuda spend all his time with Yuka-chan-senpai, an older friend he used to have a crush on. She begins to fear that she is merely being used as a rebound to help him move on from his past feelings.
