POPEE THE PERFORMER

Based on the original animated series, this comic adaptation follows Popee and Kedamono, two highly unconventional circus performers whose daily existence is defined by relentless chaos. Set against the backdrop of an endless desert, the duo embarks on a perpetual quest to find an elusive oasis. They are accompanied on their journey by Papi, a flamboyant figure, and a remarkable elephant-shaped car that serves as their primary mode of transport through the barren wasteland. Life at this nomadic circus is anything but ordinary, as the pair constantly finds themselves entangled in bizarre and perilous situations. Their routine involves executing dangerous stunts, evading extraterrestrial abductions, and even falling victim to a peculiar frog capable of possessing bodies. There is never a single quiet moment in their unpredictable world. The most persistent threat, however, comes from within their own partnership. Popee frequently engages in extreme acts of violence, treating knife-throwing target practice and explosive bombs as casual entertainment. For the unfortunate Kedamono, simply surviving his companion's sudden homicidal outbursts proves to be an exhausting daily challenge, making every day at the circus a true test of endurance.
