For years, Akira has harbored deep romantic feelings for his childhood friend, Tadaoki—a man who remains entirely out of reach. Consumed by this unrequited love and an intense, burning passion, Akira exists in a perpetual state of emotional fever. Complicating matters further is the persistent attention he receives from Shima, his older boss, whose romantic advances place immense pressure on Akira’s already fragile heart. Caught between his enduring devotion to Tadaoki and the tempting comfort offered by Shima, Akira must decide whether to hold firm to his longing or finally surrender to someone willing to embrace him. Tadaoki, meanwhile, has always viewed Akira as his personal responsibility, maintaining a fiercely protective stance over their lifelong bond. Yet he remains completely oblivious to the depth of Akira’s suffering, never once questioning what his friend truly means to him. This comfortable ignorance shatters when Shima’s pursuit begins to threaten the delicate balance of their relationship. Forced to confront the possibility of losing Akira to another man, Tadaoki must determine whether he can recognize his own feelings and step forward before it is too late—or if he will allow someone else to claim the most cherished place in Akira’s heart forever.
