Duelant

Set against the backdrop of medieval Europe, *Duelant* unfolds in a world where warriors from across the continent engage in brutal, sanctioned combat to prove their martial supremacy. These vicious duels are far more than mere contests of strength; they are deeply intertwined with faith, as the victor of each bout is believed to be divinely ordained by God Himself. Within this unforgiving society, a young woman named Katrea finds herself trapped in a desperate struggle for survival. In her hometown, she becomes the relentless target of a local champion—a man who recently emerged victorious from one of these holy trials and now uses his perceived divine mandate to subject her to cruel and unyielding persecution. Just when Katrea’s situation seems entirely hopeless, an unexpected encounter alters the course of her fate. She crosses paths with a small, black-haired Asian man who stands apart from the European warriors around him. Recognizing the injustice of her subjugation, he steps forward and offers to fight on her behalf. By challenging the reigning victor in a duel of his own, this unlikely protector risks everything to break Katrea’s chains and free her from the tyranny that has consumed her life.
