Ruri is a college student balancing her studies with a part-time job at a local convenience store. Her daily routine takes an unexpected turn when she begins to notice Nosegawa, a middle-aged man who visits the shop every single day to purchase two packs of cigarettes. Over time, his quiet consistency captivates her, and Ruri finds herself increasingly drawn to this older customer despite their lack of meaningful interaction. The dynamic between them shifts dramatically on a rainy day when Ruri finally gathers the courage to ask Nosegawa for a ride home. What begins as a simple favor transforms into a pivotal moment during their shared journey in the car. The confined space and the rhythm of the rain outside create an atmosphere that deeply affects her. In the span of that drive, a strange, unfamiliar warmth ignites within Ruri’s heart—an intense and entirely new feeling she has never experienced before, setting the stage for a complex emotional awakening.
