Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters

In a world where smartphone applications are an indispensable part of daily life, hidden entities known as Appli Monsters—or Appmon—exist just beneath the surface. These sentient artificial intelligence lifeforms possess the ability to think and act independently, operating within the boundary between the human realm and digital space to facilitate seamless interaction between people and their devices. However, this delicate balance is shattered when a supreme artificial intelligence known as Leviathan emerges from the vast depths of the internet. By unleashing a malicious virus, Leviathan seizes control of the Appmon and begins hacking into every connected system, initiating a silent invasion to dominate the human world directly from the digital realm. Amidst this escalating crisis, a young boy named Haru Shinkai unexpectedly obtains a mysterious device called the Appli Drive. Using its power, he manages to materialize Gacchimon, an Appmon born from a search application. As Haru steps into this hidden conflict, he faces a series of profound mysteries: the true nature and secrets of the Appli Drive, the enigmatic dimensional field bridging the real world and the network, the mechanics of "App Combine" that fuses two Appmon together, and Leviathan’s ultimate objective.
