DINER

Kanako Ooba leads a thoroughly unremarkable life working at an office supply company, but her mundane existence is shattered when she accepts a reckless job as a getaway driver for a couple planning to rob the yakuza. The heist goes disastrously wrong, and Kanako soon finds herself staring death in the face. Just as her final moments arrive, she is unexpectedly purchased by a mysterious buyer, sparing her from certain doom. Her savior turns out to be the enigmatic owner of "Canteen," an exclusive diner that caters solely to professional killers and murderers. He offers Kanako a position as a waitress, but his warning is grim: she is the ninth woman to hold this role, and all eight of her predecessors met tragic ends at the hands of the establishment's volatile clientele. Thrust into a dangerous underworld where every order could be her last, Kanako must navigate a treacherous environment filled with deadly patrons. Whether she can survive long enough to keep this second chance at life or become just another casualty of the Canteen remains to be seen.
