In the aftermath of the battle against Unicron, a decade has passed since the Decepticons who survived the conflict have joined forces with the Autobots to mine for Energon, a powerful alternative energy source. However, a new and formidable threat emerges in the form of Alpha Q, who seeks to pilfer the Energon from the Autobots with the assistance of Scorponok and the Terrorcons. Alpha Q's ultimate goal is to revive the legendary Megatron and Unicron, reigniting the flames of war and reigniting the rivalry between the Autobots and Decepticons.
