Prince of Recipes

Sakai, a second-year culinary student, harbors a lifelong ambition: to open his own modest restaurant and move people through his cooking, just as his grandfather once did. However, the grueling reality of his daily life threatens to extinguish that dream before it can take shape. Burdened by an exhausting three-hour commute each morning and the relentless demands of his coursework, Sakai pushes himself far beyond his physical limits. The strain eventually catches up with him when he collapses in class from sheer fatigue. Relocating closer to campus seems like the only solution, yet living independently remains entirely out of reach for someone on his tight budget. Just as his situation appears hopeless, a classmate mentions an available room-share opportunity nearby—a prospect so convenient and affordable that it almost defies belief. With few alternatives left, Sakai decides to take the chance. This single choice sets the stage for an unexpected new chapter in his life, bringing together four mismatched individuals under one roof. As these misfit roommates begin their shared living arrangement, Sakai finds himself navigating not only the rigorous path toward becoming a chef but also the unpredictable dynamics of his unconventional household.
