Tenkuu no Hachi

Set in 1995, a remote-controlled helicopter hovers ominously above a nuclear power plant, casting a shadow of unprecedented terror over the region. Simultaneously, the operating power company, the local prefectural government, and major media outlets receive an identical faxed ultimatum: unless the facility is immediately taken offline, the aircraft will be deliberately crashed into the reactors. The anonymous sender grants authorities exactly ten hours to comply with the demand before initiating the catastrophic strike. The crisis escalates from a potential environmental disaster into a deeply personal nightmare when investigators discover that a young child is trapped inside the unmanned helicopter. With time rapidly slipping away and countless lives hanging in the balance, two men are thrust to the forefront of the emergency response. Kazuaki Yubara, the brilliant engineer who originally designed the aircraft, joins forces with Yuichi Mishima, a dedicated nuclear power specialist. Together, they must race against the unforgiving deadline to safely rescue the innocent hostage, neutralize the looming threat to the plant, and unmask the criminal mastermind orchestrating the standoff.
