Suzume

Suzume, a high school junior, finds her ordinary life disrupted by an unexpected encounter with a striking stranger. This enigmatic young man, named Souta, is searching for something specific among the local ruins—a mysterious door. Intrigued by his unusual request, Suzume points him toward an abandoned resort, unaware of the profound consequences this simple act of direction will soon unleash. Moments after their meeting, a sudden sense of unease washes over her. Regretting her decision to guide a complete stranger into a desolate area, she changes her mind and hurries back to find him. However, before she can locate Souta at the old resort, Suzume discovers a decrepit, freestanding door hidden among the decay. Driven by an inexplicable compulsion, she opens it, inadvertently tearing open a gateway to a surreal realm that exists entirely beyond the boundaries of time and space. By crossing this impossible threshold, Suzume unknowingly sets a catastrophic chain of events into motion. What begins as a fleeting interaction with a handsome traveler quickly spirals into a sprawling, perilous journey. Now thrust far beyond her familiar world, she must navigate an extraordinary adventure fraught with seismic danger to mend the rift she has created.
