Suzume

Suzume is a seventeen-year-old girl living a quiet life in a peaceful town on the Japanese island of Kyushu. Her ordinary routine is disrupted when she encounters a mysterious young man searching for a specific door. Intrigued, she follows him into the mountains, where they discover a freestanding door hidden among ancient ruins. Driven by curiosity, Suzume opens it, unknowingly setting a dangerous chain of events into motion. Shortly after this encounter, similar doors begin appearing and opening across Japan. These portals serve as conduits for devastating disasters that spill through from the other side, threatening the safety of the entire country.
