Bungo Stray Dogs: Osamu Dazai and The Dark Era

Long before he became a respected member of the Armed Detective Agency, Osamu Dazai held a far darker title: the youngest executive in the history of the Port Mafia. Operating as Yokohama’s most feared underground crime syndicate, the organization demanded ruthless loyalty from its ranks. Yet, within this unforgiving world, an unlikely bond formed between three men separated by vast differences in status. Dazai, the brilliant strategist; Odasaku, a low-ranking enforcer; and Ango, a fellow operative, shared a quiet camaraderie that defied the strict hierarchy of the criminal underworld. This fragile peace shatters when Ango suddenly vanishes without a trace. Tasked directly by the Mafia’s supreme leader, Odasaku is ordered to track down his missing friend. What begins as a straightforward search quickly spirals into something far more dangerous. As Odasaku follows the fading trail left behind by Ango, he uncovers connections to Mimic, a mysterious foreign criminal organization operating in the shadows. Drawn into a deadly web of secrets and violence, Odasaku must navigate treacherous alliances and hidden motives, setting the stage for a harrowing chapter in the dark history of Yokohama's underworld.
