Goblin Slayer Side Story: Year One

For three agonizing days following the murder of his sister, a young boy remained paralyzed by grief. A brutal goblin raid had swept through his home, leaving behind nothing but ashes and corpses. Stripped of his village, his family, and his innocence, he was forced to confront a world defined by unimaginable cruelty. Yet from the depths of that despair, a singular, unyielding resolve began to take shape within him. Five years later, that same boy arrives at a bustling frontier city and registers as an adventurer. Despite holding the lowest possible rank and possessing no formal experience, he wastes no time in accepting his first quest. Rather than joining a party or seeking guidance, he marches alone toward a goblin lair, driven entirely by the unwavering purpose forged in his childhood trauma. His mind is already consumed by a clear and terrifying vision of what he must become. This solitary, relentless crusade marks the birth of a dark legend—the origin of the warrior who will one day be known only as Goblin Slayer.
