Khan: Kusa to Tetsu to Hitsuji

Khan: Kusa to Tetsu to Hitsuji is a compelling historical manga that reimagines one of Japan’s most enduring legends. For centuries, whispers have persisted that the tragic warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune did not perish at his supposed end in Japan, but instead fled across the sea to vanish into the vast northern steppes. This narrative boldly explores that tantalizing theory, following the exiled samurai as he abandons his homeland and embarks on an arduous journey toward the untamed grasslands of Mongolia. Stripped of his former titles yet armed with unparalleled tactical brilliance, the wandering swordsman must adapt to a brutal new world defined by nomadic tribes, endless plains, and relentless warfare. Through sheer willpower, iron-forged resolve, and strategic genius, he begins to unite the fractured clans under a single banner. The story chronicles his extraordinary transformation from a disgraced Japanese noble into a fearsome conqueror, ultimately proposing the astonishing possibility that the man history came to know as Genghis Khan was none other than Yoshitsune himself. It is a sweeping epic that bridges two distinct cultures through the lens of one legendary figure's survival and ultimate rise to power.
