Nekomata.

Set against the bustling backdrop of Edo during Japan’s historic Edo period, the story follows Jinbee, a skilled thief catcher who commands quiet respect as the unspoken boss of the city's streets. Known throughout the district for his striking good looks and unwavering reliability, he is a man others can depend on without hesitation. Yet, despite his formidable reputation, Jinbee possesses one peculiar quirk: an uncontrollable habit of muttering to himself far more than is considered normal. However, his tendency to speak aloud serves to mask a much deeper secret hidden within the walls of his home. Sharing his residence is a nekomata, a mystical two-tailed cat spirit whose presence defies the ordinary boundaries of human life in the era. Far from a mere haunting, this supernatural companion becomes an integral part of his daily existence, transforming his household into a place where the mundane and the magical quietly intersect. The narrative explores the unique, everyday bond between the steadfast lawman and his otherworldly housemate, offering a glimpse into their unconventional life together amid the vibrant chaos of old Edo. This edition also includes seven bonus chapters.
