Genshiken: Return of the Otaku

The peaceful, uneventful days of the Genshiken club are abruptly shattered when a helicopter descends upon the university campus. Aboard is Ranto Hairu, a striking transfer student and heir to a massive corporate empire, who has just been appointed chairman of the campus club organization committee. Armed with a ruthless philosophy and a preference for brute force, Hairu is determined to weed out organizations he deems frivolous or overly artistic, favoring only those that demonstrate earnest industriousness. For dedicated members like Madarame, Kousaka, Ohno, and their friends, the looming threat of having their beloved otaku sanctuary permanently dissolved is nothing short of a nightmare. Yet, the arrival of this uncompromising new chairman proves to be merely the first in a series of escalating crises. As Hairu’s aggressive campaign to dismantle the club intensifies, the Genshiken members realize they must fight back to protect their haven. Fortunately, this eccentric group of otakus is far from defenseless. They possess a few unconventional strategies of their own, including an extraordinary secret weapon: a legendary swordsman summoned from ancient times. With this unexpected ally at their side, the club prepares to face down overwhelming odds in a desperate bid to ensure their survival.
