Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike

High school student Takara Fujishima is preparing to move into his school’s dormitory. Having lost his entire family except for his father, who is perpetually away on business, Takara has little choice but to adapt to a new living arrangement far from home. Upon arriving at the dorms, he discovers that he must share a room with another student, Kyomine Kosaka. The two boys could not be more different: Takara is naturally outgoing and expressive, while Kyomine is deeply introverted and reserved. These clashing personalities immediately spark friction, turning their shared space into a battleground of frequent arguments and mutual irritation as they struggle to coexist under one roof. Despite the initial hostility, the constant proximity forces Takara and Kyomine to confront their differences and slowly understand one another. As they navigate the daily challenges of dormitory life together, the tension between them gradually softens, giving way to an unexpected bond. What begins as a difficult and contentious roommate situation steadily transforms into a genuine friendship. Over time, this deepening connection evolves even further, blossoming into a heartfelt romance as the two young men discover that their contrasting natures ultimately complement each other perfectly.
