Kasenshiki RomiJuri Kousou Kyoku

Juri, a second-year student at Inugashira High, maintains a quiet daily ritual: feeding an exceptionally ill-tempered cat that lives along the riverbank. One afternoon, his routine is disrupted when he arrives to find the feline resting in the arms of a stranger. The young man introduces himself as Hiromi, a second-year from Sarutou High, and immediately strikes up a friendly conversation. As Hiromi plays with the cat, his bright and unwavering smile awakens an unfamiliar warmth deep within Juri’s chest. However, this budding connection carries dangerous implications. Inugashira and Sarutou are bitter rival schools populated by delinquents who have clashed for years. Like dogs and monkeys, the leaders of both factions constantly provoke one another, fueling an endless cycle of violence. Unwilling to ruin their fragile bond, Juri chooses to spend time with Hiromi while keeping his school affiliation a secret. Yet, as they grow closer, the tender feeling inside him rapidly expands into something entirely uncontrollable. Caught between a fierce gang rivalry and a blossoming romance, this pure-hearted tale of two star-crossed delinquents unfolds as a modern, Romeo and Juliet-inspired boys' love story.
