One Room Angel

Kouki’s life is defined entirely by what it lacks. He has no hobbies, no friends, no romantic partner, no stable employment, and, most critically, no desire to keep living. When a sudden altercation with a group of youths ends with him being stabbed, his immediate reaction is not fear but quiet relief. As he lies bleeding out, convinced that this violent encounter will finally serve as his escape from an unbearable existence, a breathtakingly beautiful figure appears before his fading vision—an angel watching over him in his final moments. However, death does not come for Kouki. Less than a month later, he regains consciousness to find his wounds mysteriously and completely healed. Instead of the peaceful end he anticipated, he is thrust back into reality with crushing medical debt and no means to pay it. To complicate matters further, the stunning entity he saw while dying is now standing in his apartment. This "angel" has lost all memories and has inexplicably taken up residence as Kouki's new roommate. Stripped of his intended exit and burdened with impossible financial struggles, Kouki must now navigate a drastically altered daily life alongside an amnesiac celestial being, forcing him to confront an existence he never planned to continue.
