Bambi to Dhole

Yukimi, universally known by her nickname Bambi, serves as a strict member of her school's student discipline committee. She is notorious for locking the gates on any student who arrives even a minute late, yet she harbors a rebellious secret: sneaking up to the rooftop for cigarette breaks. Her carefully maintained double life is disrupted by the arrival of Tetsu Nagasawa, a transfer student whose name everyone pronounces as Tooru. A true lone wolf—much like the dhole, an Asiatic wild dog—he effortlessly hops the school fence after Bambi has locked it and boldly snaps her cigarette in half upon discovering her illicit habit on the roof. Despite his intimidating and defiant introduction, Tooru possesses a surprisingly gentle nature, readily showing kindness to a mother and her baby on the train. This stark contrast leaves Bambi intrigued, complicating her already established romantic life. Although she currently has a boyfriend, the unexpected presence of this enigmatic newcomer forces her to confront her own feelings. As the rigid rule-follower and the untamed transfer student continue to cross paths, the story explores whether this wild outsider will ultimately steal her heart.
