Summary

Official Details
Amahiko Saji swore he would never participate in competitive sports again after a devastating failure at the end of middle school. During the summer baseball state championship, with the bases loaded, he threw four consecutive balls and walked in the winning run, costing his team the entire match. Haunted by this trauma, he entered high school determined to avoid any activity that pitted him directly against an opponent to determine a winner or loser. However, his teacher and cousin, Ms. Misato, believes the only way for him to heal is to face his fears. She insists he join the school’s archery club, hoping the discipline will help him move past his paralyzing anxiety. Archery proves to be the perfect environment for Amahiko's recovery. While competitors share the range, the true adversary in the sport is oneself; mastering the internal negativity is the only way to strike the target. Initially, the lingering demons of his past prevent him from hitting the mark. Yet, once he finally confronts his mistakes and takes full ownership of his failures, his natural talent begins to shine through. From that turning point onward, Amahiko replaces his old vow with a new one: he will never lose to himself again.
