Who Killed the Hero?

Four years have passed since the Demon Lord was finally vanquished, ushering in an era of hard-won peace for the kingdom. To honor the memory of the fallen Hero who sacrificed everything to secure their future, the realm has undertaken a grand project to chronicle his legendary deeds. As part of this endeavor, officials begin interviewing the surviving members of his former adventuring party: Leon the Sword Saint, Maria the Holy Maiden, and Solon the Sage. Each companion is asked to recount their shared journeys and the extraordinary feats they witnessed alongside their lost leader. Yet as these veterans share their memories, a disturbing pattern begins to emerge from beneath the surface of their nostalgic tales. Hidden within their accounts of past adventures are subtle inconsistencies and buried secrets that gradually unravel the official story of the Hero’s demise. What initially appears to be a straightforward historical record slowly transforms into a tense investigation, peeling back layers of deception to expose a chilling reality. The kingdom must now confront an unthinkable question: who truly killed the Hero? Was it the Demon Lord he swore to destroy, or did the fatal blow come from the very comrades who fought by his side?
