In a desperate attempt to evade the authorities, the notorious space criminal Kain escapes from prison and wreaks havoc on the Galaxy Police headquarters. To prevent the Jurai family from interfering with his plans, Kain travels back in time to the year 1970 with the intention of eradicating Tenchi's mother before he is even born. With the fate of Tenchi hanging in the balance, the young hero and his companions must embark on a perilous journey through time to prevent Kain from altering the course of history and erasing Tenchi from existence.
