In the stagnant world of 2977 AD, where robots perform all tasks and the population is kept tranquil by subliminal messages, Captain Harlock and his group of like-minded rebels on the spaceship Arcadia defy the complacent mentality. A mysterious force known as the Mazone invades Earth, taking the form of cloaked women who kill anyone who suspects their nefarious activities. Tadashi Daiba, driven by the murder of his scientist father by the Mazone, joins Captain Harlock's crew to help them save humanity from the impending alien threat.
