Saru to Momo

High in the heavens, a celestial monkey named Gokuu bears the prestigious title of Saiten Taisei and is entrusted with the sacred duty of tending the Celestial Peach Garden. Despite his divine responsibilities, Gokuu proves to be a rather negligent caretaker, far more interested in devouring the garden’s heavenly fruit than actually maintaining it. His insatiable appetite quickly becomes his undoing when he exhausts every perfectly ripe peach within his domain. Desperate for another taste, Gokuu bites into an unripe peach, only to find its flavor deeply disappointing. Frustrated by the bitter taste, he carelessly hurls the discarded fruit over the edge of Heaven. The rejected peach plummets through the sky, tumbling endlessly until it finally crashes onto the mortal realm below. Upon striking the earth, a miraculous transformation occurs, and the fallen fruit takes on a human form. More than a decade passes in the blink of an eye down on Earth, setting the stage for an extraordinary tale born from a heavenly mistake. What began as a lazy guardian's momentary frustration has quietly blossomed into a new life among mortals, bridging the gap between the divine gardens above and the world below.
