Assassins Pride

In a world where humanity faces a constant threat from monstrous creatures, the power to fight back is a privilege reserved exclusively for the aristocracy. These noble warriors wield a unique ability known as mana, which grants them the strength necessary to protect society. However, this extraordinary gift is not guaranteed to every child born into the upper echelons of nobility, and those who fail to manifest it are often viewed as burdens to their prestigious bloodlines. Mareida is one such girl. Born into a powerful duke's family, she has been widely dismissed as a nuisance due to her apparent lack of talent. To determine whether she possesses any hidden potential, a young man named Kufa is dispatched to serve as her private tutor. His official duty is to guide her training and uncover any dormant abilities she might possess, offering her a chance to prove her worth within a society that demands perfection from its elite. Yet, beneath his role as an educator lies a far more sinister directive. Should Kufa conclude that Mareida truly lacks the power of mana, he has been ordered to assassinate her. This grim ultimatum forms the dark, hidden core of his mission, forcing him to navigate the delicate balance between his duties as a mentor and his true purpose as an executioner.
