Ochikobore Majo to Koi wo Shiranai Tensai Majutsushi

In a world governed by magic, an individual's arcane strength is visibly reflected in their hair. Those blessed with immense power possess locks that shimmer like moonlight, while those with weaker abilities bear darker, more subdued tones. Ashley falls firmly into the latter category. Despite her sooty, brick-red hair and severely limited magical reserves, she possesses a brilliant mind for magical theory. Yet, no amount of academic excellence can overcome her fundamental lack of power, leaving her lifelong dream of becoming a fully recognized mage seemingly out of reach. Her fortunes shift when her mentor—the Secretary of the Ministry of Magic Education—offers her a precarious opportunity. He grants Ashley a temporary mage status, but demands a daunting task in return: she must train a young man held in solitary confinement. This prisoner wields such overwhelming and volatile magic that no capable sorcerer dares to approach him, forcing the ministry to rely on someone whose own power is too weak to trigger a catastrophic reaction. What follows is an unexpected connection between a second-rate scholar and an isolated prodigy. Brought together by circumstance and separated from the rest of society, the two navigate a delicate bond that blossoms into something neither anticipated. Penned by a promising new author, this enchanting tale reimagines the classic Rapunzel legend through a captivating, gender-reversed lens.
