Aoba no Basket

Taiki Aoba is a junior high school student burdened by an extraordinary physical advantage. Standing at an imposing 195 centimeters tall, his blessed physique has paradoxically isolated him from his peers. Rather than being celebrated, he is treated as a fragile anomaly; those who play sports with him constantly fear causing him injury or being hurt themselves, leaving Taiki feeling like an unwelcome outsider. Over time, this relentless alienation causes him to lose sight of his own identity and purpose. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Leo Akeboshi, a talented player representing Japan in the U16 national basketball program. During a one-on-one matchup, Taiki demonstrates an astonishing ability to track and anticipate momentary movements on the court. Leo quickly recognizes that Taiki's true weapon is not his towering height, but rather his exceptional eyes. For the first time, Taiki encounters someone who looks past his physical stature and values his genuine skill. Through his interactions with Leo, Taiki becomes captivated by the sheer freedom basketball offers, finally discovering a place where he truly belongs.
