Middle school student Kizakura Suika navigates a solitary life shaped by tragic circumstances. Her only constant comfort is her daily route past an old shrine, where she visits Yorozu, a boy who has been her devoted friend since early childhood. Their familiar routine anchors her otherwise lonely world, offering a sense of stability she desperately needs. Everything changes one fateful evening when Suika unexpectedly crosses paths with the god of death. During this harrowing encounter, a stunning truth is revealed: Yorozu is not merely a human companion, but the divine guardian deity of the ancient shrine itself. The revelation shatters the boundaries between Suika’s ordinary life and the hidden spiritual realm she never knew existed. Now burdened with forbidden knowledge, Suika faces an impossible ultimatum dictated by the laws of the gods. To keep Yorozu in her life, she must agree to become his bride. If she refuses, she will lose him forever, erasing their lifelong bond entirely. Caught between devotion and destiny, Suika must decide how far she is willing to go to protect the only person who has ever truly stood by her side.
