Ritatekina Marie

In Kasumi City, the lives of young people are quantified much like publicly traded companies. Through a system known as RELEASE, students are listed on an open market where their future prospects dictate their overall worth. Those who excel academically or athletically see their market value soar, while the platform simultaneously offers them a stage to promote themselves to the world. However, the city’s delicate order shatters when a mysterious application forcibly installs itself onto every resident's device, transforming the streets into a sprawling battlefield. A ruthless game begins, forcing participants to hunt one another down and steal their opponents' accumulated market value. Yuusuke is abruptly dragged into this deadly game of tag, barely surviving thanks to the timely intervention of Marie—a classmate he has only recently started dating. Unlike her peers, Marie is a solitary figure who openly defies the very foundations of the RELEASE system. As Yuusuke struggles to survive the chaos engulfing his city, he is left to question the true nature of this lethal competition and the hidden identity of the girl who saved him. Marking the arrival of a compelling anti-heroine, Ritatekina Marie delivers an unprecedented school fantasy built on survival, rebellion, and shattered values.
