Zange

Zange is a manga anthology exploring complex interpersonal relationships and hidden emotional struggles across four distinct stories. In "A Confession of His Own Guilt," a high school student who survived sexual assault in his childhood has grown into an openly gay young man. Carrying the weight of his past, he finds himself locked in constant conflict with a teacher whose views sharply clash with his own, turning their interactions into a tense battle of wills. "Risky" follows a university student who relocates to the city and moves into his older brother's apartment. Despite sharing a living space, he has yet to actually see his sibling, and instead finds himself persistently shadowed by his brother's overly attentive friend. The collection also features "Kimi Sae Oreba," which serves as the opening narrative for the broader work "Kimi Sae Ireba." It centers on a man who marries his supervisor's daughter, only for tragedy to strike when she passes away shortly after the wedding. Struggling with sudden grief, he must navigate his superior's unexpected pressure to remarry. Finally, "Kyoushi B" shifts focus to the educational world, where a teacher unexpectedly discovers a secret romantic relationship developing between a fellow educator and a student, forcing them to confront the ethical boundaries of their profession.
