Shite no Hana: Nougakushi Haga Kotarou no Sakikata

Kotaro Haga was once a brilliant dancer whose talent on stage was unmatched. Yet outside of his art, he struggled with everyday tasks, proving hopelessly clumsy in every aspect of life that did not involve movement and rhythm. His promising career came to an abrupt and devastating halt when a severe accident left him with a disfiguring facial injury, forcing him into early retirement from the entertainment industry. Stripped of the one skill that defined him, Kotaro lost all sense of pride and purpose, drifting without direction. His path takes an unexpected turn through a lingering connection to his late grandmother, which ultimately introduces him to the ancient and highly disciplined world of Noh theater. Drawn into this traditional performing art, Kotaro must navigate its rigorous demands and the complex lives of its dedicated performers as he searches for a new reason to step back onto the stage. This journey of redemption and artistic discovery forms the heart of Shite no Hana: Nougakushi Haga Kotarou no Sakikata, recognized as the first manga serialized in a boys' magazine to vividly depict the lives and struggles of Noh performers.
