Nana Toshi Monogatari

Set on a near-future Earth, *Nana Toshi Monogatari* unfolds in the devastating aftermath of a global catastrophe that abruptly shifts the planet's polar axis by ninety degrees. This violent realignment places the poles along the equatorial line, triggering an extinction-level event that wipes out all life on the surface. Only a lunar colony survives the cataclysm. Seeking to reclaim their ancestral home, the colonists initiate a careful recolonization effort, establishing seven strategically positioned cities across the barren world. To maintain absolute control over the newly formed settlements and guarantee their unwavering loyalty, the lunar authorities deploy a draconian orbital defense network. This system instantly annihilates anything that ascends beyond five hundred meters into the atmosphere, effectively caging the pioneers on the ground. However, the balance of power is shattered when a mysterious virus sweeps through the moon colony, eradicating its entire population. With their overseers gone and the lethal orbital grid still active, humanity finds itself permanently trapped on Earth. Cut off from the stars, the survivors are left to navigate the escalating political intrigues and power struggles unfolding among the seven isolated cities.
